My Top 5 favorite tools for annoying trigger points

My current favorite self care tools when it comes to relieving aches and pains caused by stubborn trigger points.

1.  Pocket Physio by @lockeroomsports

This has by far been one of my favorite tools the last few months and is the first thing grab if I have tightness in my shoulder blade region. If you like deep pressure this is similar to having someone use their elbow on you. It is best used laying down or sitting. It is small enough to pack in a travel bag or purse.

2. Acumobility ball by @acumobility

This takes your standard lacrosse ball up a notch. It has a flat surface so you can really tack down your tissue without the ball rolling or bouncing away. These are awesome to use individually or in pairs. Also great for improving your tissue mobility.

3.  Lacrosse ball

The O.G of self care and treating your sore, tight muscles. It’s cheap, it’s effective…it works! Everyone should have one.

4. Thera cane

This is a tool you can use on your couch, at your desk, etc. It has hard knobs all over it to work different areas of your body. It is great if you can’t handle laying on one of the above tools. You control the pressure that’s being applied.

5. Boomstick by @kabukistrength

The name says it all. This bad boy is still one of my favorite purchases to date. It is intense but the results speak for itself. It’s 22lbs with a rounded end and adds the weight of the tool to really sink into the tissue. It’s definitely a game changer. I get many requests to use this beast 💪🏼. There’s also a lighter and heavier version available

**honorable mention: a massage gun. (Pictured is a theragun )

I personally have a couple massage guns because they are that awesome. They have been all the rage now for a few years and there’s a reason why professional athletes endorse and use these bad boys! You can find an affordable one that will produce similar results to the expensive ones nearly anywhere.
